Chandranath hill- It is the second largest mountain in bangladesh
Chittagong is the place consists of mountain, waterfall and sea beaches. Sitakundu is one of them. It is situated in Chittagong district. Chandranath hill is located in Sitakundu Upazila. The Sitakundu is the northern part of Bangladesh. It is about 215 km from the city and takes approximately 4 hours 30min.
There are five to six places to visit in Sitakundu. In fact, Chandranath hill is the most attractive place there. Likewise, from city direct Buses are not available to Sitakundu. In order to go to Sitakundu either Feni or Chittagong. There are buses like ENA, STARLINE from Dhaka to Feni. A/c Ticket price is 270 to and non-A/C ticker price 350TK. On the other hand, there are many bus services available from Dhaka to Chittagong. Such as the Green line, Shyamoli, Hanif.Hanif. Non-
Therefore, mail train start arrival at 11 pm and reach there at 5 am. Mail train is available direct to Sitakundu. Near to the station there is Bazar. Besides there is everything available like Hotels, restaurant and bazar etc.
Accommodation:-
There are only a few hotels near the Sitakunda bazar. In fact, hotels rent becomes cheap during offseason, any kind of government holiday and working days. Also, rates depend on negotiations.
The height of the hill is about 1020feet. In the highest peak of the mountain, the Chandranath temple is situated. While in the lower highest peak there is two temple. This mountain has some historical effects of Hindu culture. Some ethnic families stay inside the hill. At the bottom of the hill, some temples are there and at the entrance of the hill, there is some shop. Therefore, everyone can buy water and snacks like biscuits before trekking starts. But if anyone wants to take heavy snacks before trek then it will be difficult. As well as, people sell some thin bamboo at the bottom Taking bamboo will be very helpful because sometimes legs doesn't work then will be easier to get on the bamboo when walking on foot. After arrival towards the mountain, there is two way. The road on the left side is consists of broken stairs and that is the perfect way to go. Similarly, the right way is the best road for return. There is a place inside the hill for resting. In that place, there is a hilly man who sells hilly guavas, drinks and water. People can take rest and can taste some hilly guavas there.
Interestingly, the place becomes a pilgrimage area of Hindu people in the month of Falgun. There are many religious places in Sitakundu. Among them, Chandranath Temple on the peak of the hill bears the most religious testimony. This temple is a holy place for Hindu religious people and also very attractive tourist spot for others. Every hindu people from everywhere come to this temple to join Shiva Chaturdashi Puja from. Many people from all over the country visit there for trekking and to gain some adventurous feel. This place becomes a tourist spot and also best for trekking. Apart from the rainy season, this hill is best to visit because in rainy time trekking becomes riskier. Steep stairs inside the mountain become slipper. At the top of the hill, the wonderful scenery can be seen. It seems like hills and clouds are mixed. Moreover, it is a very arduous journey on foot although it will be very enjoyable when people can reach the top.
Furthermore, this place is agricultural area, and main source of income is from tourist spots.

Near hotels there are many auto-rickshaws. It will take 80-100tk to go to Chandranath hill and takes 20 minutes. However, if anyone stays in Chittagong hotel there are many types of hotel.
